Multiple Indonesian journalistic organizations have reported successful results from recent journalist competency tests (UKW).

In Serang Regency, 12 members of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) passed the competency exam held at the Banten Regional Police headquarters. PWI Serang Chairperson Andrea Nanda Saputra emphasized that this achievement serves as a momentum for journalists to increase professionalism and strictly adhere to the journalistic code of ethics to provide objective news.

Separately, the Indonesian Photojournalists Association (PFI) announced that 18 photojournalists successfully passed their independent competency certification. The process was overseen by senior examiners and opened by the Deputy Chairman of the Press Council's Education Commission. PFI General Chair Dwi Pambudo noted that the certification is a vital benchmark for raising professional standards, stating that photojournalists carry a responsibility to capture reality honestly and ethically.
