Indonesian clubs Persiku Kudus and Semen Padang recruit foreign players for Liga 2 2026/27

Persiku Kudus announced plans to reshape its squad ahead of the 2026/27 Liga 2 season. The club will retain foreign striker Caique Souza, release defender Jaimerson, and consider promoting three youth players from its EPA U‑19 side. Management also aims to attract state‑owned investors and targets promotion to Liga 1.

Semen Padang FC disclosed a parallel strategy, seeking three new foreign signings with contracts effective from 15 June 2026. The recruitment will align with head coach Nil Maizar’s tactics, and the club hopes the additions will help the team compete for a return to Indonesia’s top tier.

Both clubs emphasized careful selection over speed, indicating that the new players will be chosen to meet specific positional needs and the clubs’ broader goal of climbing back to the highest domestic league.
