Indonesian local governments launch initiatives to improve tax services
Local governments in Indonesia are implementing initiatives to improve tax collection and public service accessibility. In Bukit Batu Village, Bengkalis Regency, the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) held a ‘Gebyar Pajak’ event to encourage community tax compliance. Officials emphasized that tax contributions are vital for regional development and public services, noting that 314 tax notifications are recorded for the village.
In Sidoarjo Regency, Vice Regent Mimik Idayana introduced a One Stop Service desk in Tambaksawah Village, Waru District. This initiative aims to provide faster and more convenient administrative services, including taxation and licensing, for residents and the more than 200 companies operating in the area. The service is designed to reduce the need for multiple trips to government offices and support local original regional income (PAD).
