Indonesian National Police Chief denies replacement rumors amid officer reshuffle

The Indonesian government has denied rumors regarding the replacement of National Police Chief (Kapolri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Commission III DPR RI Chairman Habiburokhman both clarified that no Presidential Letter (Surpres) has been issued for a change in leadership, labeling reports of a successor list as inaccurate.

Separately, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has implemented a large-scale organizational reshuffle. The mutation involves 146 police officers, including 25 high-ranking officials with the rank of Brigadier General. According to Police Public Relations Division Head Irjen Pol Johnny Edison Isir, these rotations are intended for organizational refreshment, career development, and the optimization of police duties.
