Indonesian National Police promotes 50 high-ranking officers

Indonesian National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo led a ceremony at the Police Headquarters in Jakarta to promote 50 high-ranking officers and four civil servants. Among the promotions, Roycke Harry Langie was elevated to Police Commissioner General, while 15 officers reached the rank of Inspector General, including North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief Yudo Hermanto and Deputy Head of Intelligence Wawan Muliawan. Additionally, 34 officers were promoted to Brigadier General.

Separately, Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended the ‘Ngaji Kebangsaan’ event in Rembang, Central Java, alongside religious scholar KH Ahmad Bahauddin Nursalim, also known as Gus Baha. The gathering, which included hundreds of students and tens of thousands of police personnel participating virtually, focused on the synergy between religious leaders (ulama) and government officials (umara). The Police Chief emphasized that religious guidance is vital for officers facing high-risk duties and highlighted the role of security in supporting national development and unity.
