Indonesian National Police deploys aid for forest fires

The Indonesian National Police (Polri) is distributing logistics and oxygen supplies to support the management of forest and land fires (karhutla) across several regions. Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko stated that the initial phase of aid is being dispatched to West Kalimantan to assist field personnel.

The aid for West Kalimantan includes six sets of platoon tents, 200 boxes of additional food, various firefighting hoses (1.5 and 2.5 inches), nozzles, connectors, and both large and small oxygen cylinders. These supplies are scheduled to be transported via Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

In total, 1,500 oxygen cylinders have been prepared for various affected areas. The distribution plan includes 200 cylinders for West Kalimantan, 250 for Central Kalimantan, 200 for South Kalimantan, 200 for South Sumatra, 250 for Riau, and 150 for Jambi. The oxygen is intended to support both firefighting personnel and local residents suffering from respiratory issues caused by smoke exposure.
