Indonesian National Police introduces ‘Polisi Bersama Masyarakat’ tagline
The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has introduced a new tagline, ‘Polisi Bersama Masyarakat’ (Police Together with the Community), to emphasize a service-oriented approach to law enforcement. The initiative, directed by National Police Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto, aims to place the public at the center of police duties, focusing on listening to citizens, providing legal certainty, and maintaining public order through close cooperation.
Police spokesperson Irjen Pol Johnny Eddizon Isir stated that the tagline is intended to drive institutional transformation, prioritizing professionalism, accountability, and accessibility. The goal is to integrate community engagement into the daily work culture of all officers, treating public feedback as a tool for service improvement.
In regions such as Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI), local police units have already begun implementing the message through public signage. AKBP Eko Rubiyanto, Chief of the OKI Police, noted that the tagline serves as a mandate for officers to build stronger partnerships with residents, recognizing that security is a shared responsibility between the police and the community.
