Indonesia Police launch nationwide Operasi Patuh 2026 FAST-MOVING

The Indonesian National Police (Polri) have officially launched Operasi Patuh 2026, a large-scale traffic law enforcement operation held simultaneously across the country from October 26 to November 8, 2026. The operation aims to reduce traffic accidents and fatalities by increasing public awareness and discipline on the roads.

In the Jakarta metropolitan area, Polda Metro Jaya has deployed 2,938 joint personnel, including members of the TNI, the Jakarta Transportation Agency, and Satpol PP. Kapolda Metro Jaya Komjen Dadang Hartanto emphasized that the operation focuses on pre-emptive and preventive measures, with law enforcement as a last resort. Priority violations targeted include riding without SNI-standard helmets, not wearing seatbelts, using mobile phones while driving, running red lights, speeding, and driving against the flow of traffic.

Regional police forces across Indonesia, including those in Bali, West Java, Gorontalo, and South Sumatra, are also conducting similar operations under various local names such as Operasi Patuh Agung, Lodaya, Otanaha, and Musi. These regional efforts utilize both manual ticketing and Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) technology. The overarching theme of the operation is “Police Together with the Community to Realize Orderly, Safe, and Secure Traffic.”
