Indonesian officials emphasize citizen-centric public services
Indonesian government officials are prioritizing the improvement of public services through increased administrative efficiency and a focus on community needs.
In Kediri, Mayor Vinanda Prameswati distributed contract extensions to 2,558 part-time government employees (PPPK) and promotion decrees to 69 civil servants. During an assembly at GOR Jayabaya, the Mayor emphasized that civil servants must maintain high discipline and responsibility to serve the public effectively. She also introduced the concept of Social Protection Agents to assist citizens in accessing their rights.
Separately, the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, Rini Widyantini, highlighted the importance of 'citizen-centric' services during a visit to the Public Service Mall (MPP) in Jember Regency. The facility integrates 279 types of services from 17 different agencies to streamline bureaucracy. To increase accessibility, the local government has also implemented 'Mini MPP' hubs in the Mayang, Jombang, and Tanggul districts.
