Indonesian police bust major drug shipments in West Java and Jambi

Police in Cimahi, West Java, arrested a 36‑year‑old member of a local motorbike gang, identified as Asmara, after seizing 35.45 g of methamphetamine (sabu) and a total of about 151 g in packaged quantities. The suspect, who had been part of the gang for ten years, is accused of distributing the drugs across Bandung and faces up to 20 years in prison.

In Sarolangun, Jambi, police stopped a Toyota Raize at a fuel station and uncovered 53,000 ecstasy pills and 897 etomidate tablets hidden in the trunk. The two young men from Bengkalis, Riau, were attempting to move the haul, valued at roughly Rp 18 billion, to the Singkut area near the Jambi‑Sumatra border. Authorities said the seizure prevented the drugs from reaching nearly one million potential users.
