Indonesian police conduct major narcotics crackdowns in Cimahi and OKU Timur

Indonesian police have conducted significant narcotics operations in West Java and South Sumatra. In Cimahi, Polres Cimahi reported the resolution of 80 narcotics cases over a single month, resulting in the arrest of 91 suspects. The seized evidence, which includes methamphetamine, synthetic tobacco, marijuana, psychotropics, and various illegal medicines, is valued at approximately Rp4.1 billion. Authorities stated these operations could potentially protect around 672,000 lives from drugs intended for distribution in the Bandung Raya area.

In a separate incident in OKU Timur, South Sumatra, police apprehended a 34-year-old suspect identified as CD following a high-speed chase. The pursuit ended after the suspect’s vehicle veered off the road and became stuck in a rice field in Martapura District. During a subsequent search, officers recovered suspected ecstasy pills, methamphetamine, a mobile phone, and a vehicle.
