Indonesian police dismantle three international etomidate drug labs
Indonesian police and Customs officials have dismantled three home-based laboratories producing etomidate as part of an international drug network. The operation, led by Polresta Bandara Soekarno-Hatta in collaboration with Soekarno-Hatta Customs, resulted in the arrest of 14 suspects: seven Indonesian nationals and seven foreign nationals, including six from India and one from Singapore.
The illicit production sites were located in two sites within the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area and one in Sidoarjo, East Java. In addition to the etomidate production, authorities also uncovered a national methamphetamine (sabu) network.
Seized evidence includes several kilograms of etomidate in liquid and powder forms, along with hundreds of ready-to-distribute cartridges. Authorities also confiscated significant quantities of methamphetamine during the raids.
