Indonesian police arrest drug suspects in Ambon and Surabaya
In Ambon, police from the Drug Investigation Directorate (Ditresnarkoba) of Polda Maluku detained two men identified as KB and RAP after a community tip led to the discovery of three packets of methamphetamine. One packet was hidden inside a Camel cigarette pack, and two additional packets were recovered from a house in Batu Merah village.
In Surabaya, two young women sharing a boarding house were arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine after investigators seized ten packages weighing a total of 3.657 grams. Prosecutors are seeking five‑year prison terms for each defendant along with a fine of 400 million rupiah.
