Indonesian provinces fund teacher salaries and school repairs

The Education Department of South Sumatra, led by Mondyaboni, confirmed that honoraria for non‑permanent teachers will continue to be paid from the Operating School Assistance (BOS) fund, provided they are registered in the national education data system (Dapodik) and meet administrative requirements. Some teachers cannot yet be appointed as part‑time civil servants (PPPK) because they have not completed two years of service; the department is awaiting further regulations from the central government.

In Central Java, Education Department head Sadimin announced that the provincial government has allocated Rp 50 million to rebuild a collapsed classroom at SDN Sendangmulyo 3 in Semarang. The province will cover the initial repairs, while additional funding is expected from the Ministry of Education and the regional quality‑assurance agency for subsequent work.
