Indonesian provinces strengthen anti-corruption efforts with KPK
Regional governments in Indonesia are intensifying anti-corruption measures through strategic partnerships with national oversight bodies. In North Sumatra, the provincial government is collaborating with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to expand the reach of anti-corruption educators and integrity builders. The goal is to ensure that every regency and city has dedicated personnel to promote integrity and prevent misconduct within government environments and the broader community.
Similarly, Central Java is strengthening its integrated supervision system by coordinating efforts between the KPK, the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK), and the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi emphasized that integrated oversight must occur from the planning stages through operational execution to mitigate corruption risks. The province reported high performance metrics in recent audits, including maintaining an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the BPK for 15 consecutive periods and achieving high scores in bureaucratic reform and integrity indices.
