Indonesian regencies celebrate anniversaries with cultural carnivals

Various regions in Indonesia held cultural carnivals to celebrate their respective anniversaries.

In Kuningan, the local government presented awards to participants of the Cultural Carnival marking the 528th anniversary of the regency. Regent Dian Rachmat Yanuar praised the creativity of various districts, educational institutions, and community groups. He emphasized that while modernization is occurring, innovation must remain rooted in local cultural identity to serve as a foundation for future development.

In Kudus, thousands of residents gathered at Alun-Alun Simpang Tujuh to watch the 477th anniversary cultural carnival. Contingents from various schools and villages showcased local arts and agricultural products. Regent Sam’ani Intakoris noted that the event aims to encourage the community to preserve and develop local potential, such as culinary arts and crafts, to boost the local economy through tourism.
