Indonesia's SPMB enrollment system expands with tokens, results and extra seats

In Pekalongan City, the education office issues a token after document verification for the 2026/27 SPMB, allowing parents to select one school and one admission track and offering help‑desk support.

SMP Negeri 1 Warungkiara in Sukabumi has entered the second phase of SPMB, targeting 342 new students across nine classes; the first phase allocated 50 % of the quota via achievement and affirmation routes, while the second phase opens zonasi/domestic slots.

The Malang education department has set up complaint posts at all public primary and junior high schools to monitor and prevent illegal fees during SPMB, reporting a smooth process with minimal complaints.

Central Java’s education authority reports 293,331 applicants, of which 228,016 passed selection for public senior high schools and vocational schools and are now in the re‑registration period; the online system remained stable throughout.

West Java completed the first stage of SPMB on 19 June, preparing hundreds of thousands of admitted students for re‑registration and announcing a second stage for remaining candidates, while also partnering with private schools to avoid drop‑outs.

Riau province announced 70,616 accepted students and created 2,179 additional seats in private schools through the BOSDA Afirmasi program for those not admitted to public schools, with tuition fully covered by the government.
