Indonesian regional governments hold study visits for governance and carbon trading
Local governments in Indonesia are conducting study visits to exchange expertise on administration and environmental sustainability.
In Central Kalimantan, the Barito Utara Regency leadership, including Regent H Shalahuddin, visited the Malang City government to study public service strategies and governance. The visit aims to support the execution of the Sebelas Dua Belas Gaspol program, which focuses on eleven flagship policies and twelve priority activities for the Barito Utara community.
Separately, the Katingan and Pulang Pisau Regency governments are exploring the potential of carbon trading. During a meeting in Kasongan, officials discussed technical aspects of carbon markets, including emission reduction identification, measurement, and implementation mechanisms. The collaboration seeks to support environmental preservation and sustainable regional development through coordinated cross-sector planning.
