Indonesian regional governments inaugurate hundreds of new civil servants

Local governments in Indonesia have conducted significant inaugurations of civil servants to bolster regional administration and public services.

In Ciamis Regency, Bupati Herdiat Sunarya inaugurated 113 officials, including 10 administrators, 5 supervisors, and 98 functional officials. Sunarya emphasized that the appointments are a mandate that must be proven through tangible performance and effective public service rather than mere administrative routine.

Similarly, the Agam Regency government inaugurated 103 civil servants (PNS) in Lubuk Basung. The group includes 24 health workers, 40 technical staff, and 39 implementers. Representing the Regent, Regional Secretary Mhd. Lutfi urged the new staff to view their status as the beginning of a commitment to integrity, competence, and digital adaptation in government services.
