Indonesian regional governments verify KDKMP cooperative infrastructure

Local governments in Indonesia are conducting verification and validation processes for the construction of Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) facilities, including retail outlets and warehouses.

In Probolinggo Regency, East Java, the verification of 117 KDKMP units across 20 districts has reached 100 percent completion. Sugeng Wiyanto, Head of the Probolinggo Department of Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Trade and Industry, stated that this process ensures infrastructure meets technical specifications and planning documents. Following physical verification, the government will focus on institutional strengthening and organizational management to ensure the cooperatives remain operational.

In Bantul Regency, the Department of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry and Trade is performing field inspections to ensure physical readiness and facility functionality. Of approximately 75 KDKMP units in Bantul, 30 are currently under construction, with 16 units already reported as 100 percent complete. Inspections include checking building conditions, equipment, and security aspects, such as CCTV functionality. The findings from these field validations will be reported to the central government.
