Indonesian Provinces and Regencies Approve 2025 Budget Accountability Drafts

Local legislative bodies across Indonesia have approved or are reviewing draft regulations on the accountability of the 2025 regional budget (APBD). The Bali DPRD highlighted its 13th clean audit opinion (WTP) for the fiscal year. In Ciamis, the DPRD voted to adopt a draft law on APBD 2025 accountability and will forward it to the West Java governor for final approval. Magelang's DPRD discussed the draft alongside revisions to village‑head election rules, emphasizing performance evaluation and social impact. Halmahera Utara’s DPRD also enacted the APBD 2025 accountability draft. Gowa’s deputy mayor presented the Ranperda after the region received its 14th consecutive WTP from the national auditor, reporting revenue of Rp2.357 trillion (101.05 % of target) and expenditures of Rp2.127 trillion (91.18 % of the budget). Bondowoso’s Democrat‑PKS faction endorsed the draft while flagging recurring issues such as delayed budget changes, low capital‑spending absorption, waste‑management shortcomings and other operational challenges. All approved drafts must be submitted to provincial authorities and the Ministry of Finance for final ratification.
