Indonesian regional revenue agencies enhance public services
Regional revenue agencies in Indonesia are implementing new measures to improve public service and transparency. In Pekanbaru, the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) has expanded its mobile tax service program. These mobile units visit residential areas on weekends to allow citizens to settle tax obligations, such as Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2), without visiting the main office. This initiative coincides with an extended program to waive regional tax penalties through September 30.
In Medan, the Bapenda Kota Medan underwent a visitation by the North Sumatra Provincial Information Commission (KI Provsu). The visit aimed to evaluate the agency's compliance with public information disclosure laws. Officials reviewed the agency's digital infrastructure and tools designed to ensure tax information is accessible and transparent to the public.
