Indonesian schools implement management changes in Boalemo and Ponorogo

In Boalemo, Mokhamad Syaifudin, the head of Sekolah Rakyat Terintegrasi (SRT) 1, clarified that the school has terminated its contract with a food provider following student complaints. Students reported inconsistent meals, poor quality, and late deliveries. Despite previous warnings from the Ministry of Social Affairs' technical implementation unit, the provider failed to improve services. The school has appointed a new vendor from Wonosari District to ensure better meal quality.

In Ponorogo, the Education Office (Dindik) confirmed the closure of SDN Setono starting from the 2026/2027 academic year. The decision follows a two-year study triggered by a continuous decline in enrollment, leaving only six students remaining. The closure was proposed by the school and supported by parents, the school committee, and local community stakeholders. The remaining six students will be transferred to other nearby schools.
