Indonesian Skincare Brand Lana Tumbavani Enters US Market

Lana Tumbavani, a natural‑skincare brand from the village of Pulu in Sigi, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, has begun exporting its lemongrass essential‑oil products to the United States, joining buyers in Malaysia and Nepal. The brand grew out of an erosion‑control program that planted lemongrass and bamboo after severe post‑earthquake flooding; the harvested leaves yield a low‑volume, high‑value oil used in massage oils, herbal soaps, beeswax candles and solid perfumes. The company follows a restorative‑economy model that limits production to the land’s recovery capacity.

A separate consumer‑beauty piece from Jakarta highlighted a range of loose‑powder foundations suited for oily skin, naming products such as Somethinc’s “HOOMAN UNDER CONTROL” powder, Make Over’s “Silky Smooth Translucent” powder, Wardah’s “Acnederm Face Powder” and others that claim up to 16 hours of sebum control without clogging pores.
