Indonesian Students Advance in National Science and Academic Competitions

Aprillia Anggraini, a student at SMA Negeri 1 Meureudu in Pidie Jaya, Aceh, qualified for the semifinal round of the 2026 National Science Olympiad (OSN) in the Economics subject. Her achievement was credited to intensive preparation under economics teacher Tarmizi and support from school principal Abubakar.

Meanwhile, seven pupils from Sekolah Rakyat Menengah Atas (SRMA) 26 Makassar earned medals at three prestigious national contests – the Indonesian National Olympiad (ONI), the Airlangga Competition, and the Dalton Student Science Competition – across subjects such as Mathematics, Biology, Indonesian language, History and Sociology. Notable winners include Fahrani Ramadhani, who took gold in Mathematics at ONI, and teacher Kiki Novita Sari, whose extra‑class tutoring was highlighted as a key factor in the students’ success.
