Criminal incidents reported in Malaysia and Indonesia

Various criminal and administrative incidents have been reported across Malaysia and Indonesia. In Johor, Malaysia, an 18-year-old Indonesian national was arrested for allegedly acting as a warehouse keeper for a drug syndicate. Police seized 25.95 kg of drugs, including syabu and heroin, with an estimated market value of RM1.29 million.

In Indonesia, several serious crimes have occurred. In West Pasaman, a 63-year-old man was arrested for the repeated sexual assault of a disabled minor, resulting in pregnancy. In Malang, a 46-year-old man was apprehended for attempting to assault and rape a 20-year-old woman using a fake job offer on Facebook as a lure. In Jakarta, the head of Commission III of the DPR RI, Habiburokhman, called for strict legal action against a man arrested for assaulting a woman at Senayan City Mall.

Other reports include the death of a detainee at the Tarakan Barat Police Station, who was found unconscious in a cell bathroom, and the deportation of a French national from Bali for overstaying their visa by 100 days. Additionally, Bitung Immigration has launched a digital innovation called ‘AUTOCLEAR KAPAL’ to automate ship clearance processes.
