Indonesian universities rank in UI GreenMetric 2026 sustainability rankings

Several Indonesian universities have achieved notable positions in the UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings (UIGM) 2026.

Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (Untirta) ranked 13th nationally and secured the first place among Public Service Agency Universities (PTN-BLU) for sustainability. The university's Rector, H. Fatah Sulaiman, stated that this achievement aligns with the institution's vision of being a healthy, integrated, smart, and green campus.

Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN) also saw improvements in the rankings, moving up 14 positions from its 64th place in 2025 to 50th place nationally in 2026. The UIGM assessment evaluates university performance based on operational aspects, environmental impact, and sustainability-oriented education.
