Indonesian University KKN Initiatives Provide Interactive Education and Probiotic Training to Rural Communities

Students from Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) conducted a four‑day community service program (KKN) at MIN 17 Bireuen in Bireuen Regency from 20 to 23 July 2026. They delivered seven interactive education modules covering disaster mitigation, anti‑bullying, responsible gadget use, simple water‑filter construction, leadership, Indonesian hero history, and sustainable groundwater use.

Separately, a team from Universitas Brawijaya’s PSDKU Kediri campus worked with residents of Desa Sumberagung in Kediri Regency. The KKN group taught villagers how to produce and apply probiotic solutions made from Yakult, molasses and EM4 to improve fish farming and livestock waste management, aiming to boost productivity and food‑security while supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.
