Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin urges ceasefire between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Houthi rebels

Indonesia’s Vice President Ma'ruf Amin appealed to Saudi Arabia and the Houthi movement in Yemen to halt their fighting and open a constructive dialogue. Through his spokesperson he presented a “Four‑Pillar Dialogue Bridge” plan that calls for an immediate humanitarian cease‑fire in the Bab al‑Mandeb strait, the re‑activation of OIC‑led mediation among Muslim leaders, an inclusive political reconciliation between the parties, and the creation of a conflict‑free zone to safeguard international shipping and energy supplies. Amin warned that continued hostilities threaten regional stability, global oil logistics and inflation, and said Indonesia, as the world’s largest Muslim‑majority nation, stands ready to support any peace initiative.
