Indonesia's Agrinas Palma to hire 20,000 workers for state‑seized palm oil farms

PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara, a state‑owned enterprise tasked with managing seized palm‑oil plantation assets, announced it will recruit more than 20,000 workers by August 2026. The hiring plan includes 1,844 management staff, about 9,500 foremen and 11,000 harvesters. "We will recruit 1,844 management staff, 9,500 foremen and 11,000 harvesters, so more than 20,000 people," said CEO Mohammad Abdul Ghani during a hearing with the DPR’s Commission VI.

The company, which oversees roughly 4.11 million hectares of former state land across Aceh to Papua, aims to prioritize local residents for supervisory and field positions. Filling the management quota is targeted for July 2026, with foremen and harvesters hired by August. Agrinas Palma expects the workforce boost to raise fresh fruit bunch (TBS) output to around 5 million tonnes by the end of 2026, supporting its production and area‑expansion goals.

The recruitment drive follows the transition of Agrinas Palma from a construction firm to a plantation manager, emphasizing organizational restructuring and productivity gains on lands seized by the forest‑clearing task force (Satgas PKH).
