Indonesia's AHY Calls WTP a Moral Standard for State Finance
Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said the "Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian" (WTP) audit opinion should be viewed not as a final achievement but as a moral benchmark for transparent, accountable and effective state financial management. He emphasized that every rupiah of the state budget must be used efficiently and benefit the public, especially amid global economic challenges.
AHY praised the work of the Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan (BPK) and its audit report on the 2025 budget, noting that the recommendations will guide the ministry in strengthening good‑governance practices, improving internal controls, and leveraging technology to enhance public services. He urged all government officials to continue improving financial stewardship beyond merely obtaining the WTP label.
