Indonesia's Beauty Market Expands with DNA Trout Treatment and New Halal Skincare Brands

GEA Aesthetic and Croma‑Pharma have launched PolyPhil®, a regenerative cosmetic treatment that uses DNA extracted from freshwater trout. The DNA is sourced from controlled European farms and purified with PN‑HPT® technology, which the developers say enhances fibroblast activity, collagen and elastin production, and skin hydration. PolyPhil® is offered in several variants for skin rejuvenation, eye care, hair health and as a pre‑procedure preparation, and is now being marketed in Indonesia.

At the same time, a survey of the Indonesian market highlights 35 local skincare brands that have secured both BPOM registration and MUI halal certification for 2026. Brands such as Wardah, Sariayu Martha Tilaar, Mustika Ratu, Emina and The Originote are among those listed, reflecting growing consumer demand for products that are safe, halal‑compliant and formulated with natural ingredients.

Both developments illustrate the Indonesian beauty industry’s shift toward scientifically backed, locally trusted products that meet regulatory and cultural standards.
