Indonesia’s Budget Phones and New Tablet Add Premium Features

Entry‑level smartphones priced around one million rupiah are now equipped with specifications once reserved for mid‑range devices. Xiaomi’s Redmi A5 offers a 6.88‑inch display with up to 120 Hz refresh rate, TÜV Rheinland eye‑comfort certification and a 5,200 mAh battery that can last over 20 hours of video playback. Realme’s Note 70 adds a 6.74‑inch 90 Hz screen, a 6,300 mAh battery and 15 W fast charging, while both models include AI‑enhanced cameras and water‑dust resistance.

At the same time, Indonesian brand Advan launched the V11 tablet for roughly two million rupiah. The device features an 11‑inch FHD+ IPS screen, Android 16 with Gemini AI integration, a detachable keyboard with touchpad, 6 GB RAM (expandable to 12 GB) and 128 GB internal storage. It is marketed as a learning tool for students and became available on Shopee on 8 August 2026.
