Indonesia's Deputy Hajj Minister Urges Ready Services for Second Wave Pilgrims in Madinah

Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak asked all Indonesian Hajj staff to increase vigilance and readiness ahead of the arrival of the second wave of pilgrims in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. He warned that the post‑Ardhul‑Mustafa phase sees many pilgrims exhausted after completing the rites at Arafah, Muzdalifah and Mina, noting, “Muzdalifah and Mina … exhaust energy, so staff must give extra attention to pilgrims newly arrived in Madinah.” Unlike the first wave, which rested in Madinah before the peak rites, the second wave arrives after finishing them, making fatigue a greater concern. Simanjuntak urged fast‑response health clinics, strict nutrition oversight, and cautioned against overexertion, especially given the hot weather and the tradition of Arbain that can increase fatigue. He stressed that service quality must remain high until all pilgrims return to Indonesia.
