Satgas PKH forest enforcement state revenue downstreaming industry energy transition

The Forest Area Law Enforcement Task Force (Satgas PKH) has reported significant achievements in reclaiming state assets. During its eighth phase, the task force handed over Rp13.2 trillion to the state, which will be recorded as revenue for the 2026 fiscal year. This sum includes administrative fines from the forestry sector, non-tax state revenue (PNBP), and tax collections. President Prabowo Subianto witnessed the handover, noting that the total funds saved by the task force since its formation in February 2025 is approximately Rp56 trillion.

In addition to financial recovery, Satgas PKH has reclaimed 6.2 million hectares of forest land. For the current phase, 259,230.73 hectares were secured, including plantation areas to be managed by Agrinas Palma Nusantara and conservation areas designated for reforestation.

Separately, the government is establishing the Coordinating Ministry for Downstreaming and Energy Transition, led by Bahlil Lahadalia. Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara confirmed that the ministry's operational budget will be sourced from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) to ensure smooth institutional setup. Downstreaming industries currently represent 30 percent of Indonesia's total investment, valued at approximately Rp650 trillion between 2025 and 2026.
