Indonesia's I. League Sets 2026‑27 Calendar, League Cup Kicks Off Nov 3

Indonesia's I. League, the operator of the country's professional football competitions, released an updated calendar for the 2026‑27 season effective 15 July 2026. The second‑tier Championship will begin on 12 September 2026, a week earlier than previously planned. The newly introduced League Cup will start its group stage on 3 November 2026, with three weekday matchdays (3‑5 Nov, 24‑26 Nov, 1‑3 Dec). The knockout phase follows: a round of 12 on 15‑17 January 2027, quarter‑finals on 30‑31 January, semifinals on 21 April and the final on 19 May 2027, subject to adjustment if Indonesian clubs advance in AFC or AFF competitions. The schedule was coordinated with the PSSI, FIFA, AFC and AFF calendars to avoid clashes with domestic and international commitments. Director Ferry Paulus said the early release aims to give clubs certainty for planning and to align with the Asian competition calendar.
