Indonesia's KPK Considers Summoning Minister Nusron Wahid and Former BI Governor Perry Warjiyo

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it may call Agrarian and Spatial Planning Minister Nusron Wahid as a witness in its probe of alleged misuse of funds linked to the Land Object Reform program (TORA) and a forest‑release permit involving Kuantan Singingi regent Suhardiman Amby. The possibility arose after investigators questioned Dalu Agung Darmawan, director‑general of land affairs, and reviewed the program’s financing.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo also indicated that former Bank Indonesia governor Perry Warjiyo could be summoned regarding a separate investigation into the alleged misappropriation of corporate‑social‑responsibility (CSR) funds between Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK). He stressed that any summons would depend on the investigators’ need for further testimony to clarify the cases.
