Indonesia's KPK schedules examination of Maktour travel owner Fu Hasan Masyhur

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled a further interview with Fu Hasan Masyhur, the owner of PT Makassar Toraja (Maktour) travel, to act as a witness in the ongoing investigation of alleged corruption in the allocation of hajj quotas. The agency said the interview, set for the week of 15‑19 June 2026, will focus on Masyhur’s role in the alleged scheme that involved the Ministry of Religious Affairs and resulted in a state loss of about Rp 622 billion.

KPK officials indicated that Masyhur is expected to cooperate and provide needed testimony. The probe also implicates former Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas and other senior figures from the travel and hajj sectors, who have already been detained as suspects.
