Indonesia's Land Agency Implements Scheduled Land Measurement System
Indonesia's Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning and the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) led by Minister Nusron Wahid will roll out a scheduled land measurement system nationwide on 17 August 2026. The new service guarantees a maximum seven‑day wait for measurement appointments on a first‑in‑first‑out basis and aims to issue land maps within five days, shortening the total processing time from application to map issuance to twelve days. A premium option with additional fees is also available for faster service.
In a related initiative, Minister Wahid urged local governments in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to accelerate the certification of land for houses of worship. Only about 42 % of the 7,018 worship‑site parcels in the province are currently certified, raising concerns about future land‑ownership disputes. The minister emphasized that certification should be provided free of charge for all religious sites to ensure legal certainty and prevent conflicts.
