Indonesia's Manpower Minister urges companies to hire trained persons with disabilities

Indonesian Minister of Manpower Yassierli is calling on companies to hire persons with disabilities who have completed free training programs provided by the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker).

Speaking at an employment partner meeting in Bekasi, West Java, Yassierli encouraged business associations to coordinate with the ministry to identify specific labor needs. He stated, “Let us do the training and preparation, the training costs are free from Kemnaker. We only ask that after they are trained, you can absorb them.”

The ministry is also preparing to build a talent development center for persons with disabilities. This facility will be equipped with specialized tools and infrastructure to enhance participant competence and help companies understand the necessary workplace adjustments to ensure a conducive environment for disabled employees.
