Indonesia's men's doubles teams face setbacks at Denmark Open 2026
Indonesia's men's doubles representation at the Denmark Open 2026 has faced setbacks as two pairs are no longer in the competition.
Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin were eliminated in the round of 32 after losing to England's Ben Lane and Sean Vendy with a score of 19-21 and 17-21. Raymond noted that the English pair possessed greater experience and maturity, while also citing difficulties adapting to the court conditions and shuttlecocks.
Additionally, the pair of Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin has withdrawn from the tournament. The decision follows Daniel Marthin reporting significant elbow pain during training. Despite physiotherapy efforts, the pain level remained too high for competition. Coach Antonius Budi Ariantho stated the withdrawal was necessary to allow Marthin to focus on recovery, with hopes of returning for the French Open next week.
Following these exits, Indonesia's remaining men's doubles entries include Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani.
