Indonesia's Minister of Law orders cyber patrols to monitor public complaints

Indonesian Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas has instructed the Ministry of Law (Kemenkum) to conduct cyber patrols to monitor social media for public aspirations, criticisms, and complaints. The Minister stated that digital monitoring serves as a method to identify issues within public services, noting that he personally monitors and responds to social media posts.

Supratman urged his staff to report any obstacles in monitoring or service delivery caused by human resource or budgetary constraints. He indicated that he and the Secretary General are prepared to address these issues, including coordinating with the Ministry of Finance for potential budget or regulatory adjustments. He also encouraged the public to actively use social media to report unfulfilled promises or poor service from high-ranking ministry officials.

Regarding service performance, the ministry reported significant activity through September 2026. The Directorate General of General Legal Administration (AHU) recorded 11.19 million applications, with a 98.95 percent completion rate.
