Indonesia's Ministry of Defense and MPM Honda Jatim Provide Free Health Checks and Housing Renovations for LVRI Veterans

To mark National Veteran Day, PT Mitra Pinasthika Mulia (MPM Honda Jatim) partnered with the Yayasan Bangun Sehat Indonesiaku (YBSI) to offer free medical examinations and treatment to 100 members of the Legiun Veteran Republik Indonesia (LVRI) in Surabaya. The initiative included health screenings, consultations and medication, and was presented as a gesture of appreciation for veterans' service.

Separately, the Indonesian Ministry of Defense launched a nationwide program to renovate nine LVRI secretariat offices and refurbish 52 veteran homes across 19 provinces. The ceremony, led by LVRI Chairman General (Ret.) HBL Mantiri and senior defence officials, also featured a health‑care outreach component for veterans. Both efforts aim to improve the welfare of Indonesia’s veteran community and reinforce ties between the government, private sector and civil‑society organisations.
