Indonesia's Ministry of Manpower adopts AI to shape data‑driven employment policies

Indonesia's Ministry of Manpower is deploying artificial intelligence to enhance labour‑market analysis and training planning. Secretary General Cris Kuntadi said AI will quickly map workforce needs across sectors, pinpoint competency gaps, design adaptive training programmes and support evidence‑based policy decisions.

Kuntadi stressed that AI is a tool; success depends on an adaptive mindset among officials and workers. He urged the use of AI as a strategic partner to improve public services, organisational effectiveness and the global competitiveness of Indonesia’s workforce. Optimism was expressed that the country’s large labour pool, collaborative culture and digital learning spirit, combined with AI, can drive a major leap in employment outcomes.
