Indonesia's Ministry of Manpower expands SIAPkerja digital employment ecosystem
The Indonesian Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) is utilizing its SIAPkerja digital ecosystem to integrate various employment services, including job vacancies, skills training, and official certifications. The platform aims to bridge the gap between workforce readiness and industry requirements by providing a centralized digital space for both job seekers and employers.
Secretary General Cris Kuntadi noted that the platform is intended to support continuous professional development. This includes initiatives like the National Internship program (MagangHub), which helps new graduates gain practical experience and adapt to workplace environments. By combining competency mastery with direct work experience, the ministry seeks to better prepare the workforce for market dynamics.
Data indicates that Indonesia's open unemployment rate reached 4.76% in February 2025, the lowest level since 1998, following the addition of 3.59 million jobs.
