Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism launches WISH 2026 program

Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism has launched the Wonderful Indonesia Scale-up Hub (WISH) 2026 program to enhance the competitiveness and market access of local tourism operators. The initiative provides training, mentoring, and business matching to bridge the gap between business potential and concrete expansion opportunities.

This year, the program focuses on three key sectors: gastronomy, wellness, and heritage tourism. These areas were selected for their ability to offer authentic experiences while increasing the economic value of Indonesia's local traditions and culture. Following a selection process involving 564 applicants, 25 participants from 19 provinces advanced to the WISH 2026 Demo Day in Jakarta to present their innovations and growth plans to potential investors and industry stakeholders.
