Indonesia's Parliament to oversee ex‑special prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah's corruption cases

Chair of the DPR's Commission III, Habiburokhman, announced that the oversight panel (panja) created to monitor three corruption investigations involving former Special Criminal Investigation Service chief Febrie Adriansyah will convene soon. The panel will coordinate with law‑enforcement agencies and stay informed of any prosecutorial actions.

Democratic Party DPR member Benny K. Harman argued that the cases should be transferred to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to prevent conflicts of interest, noting that the police anti‑corruption unit had already handed the three cases – concerning coal, ASABRI and Krakatau Steel – to the Attorney General’s Office. He called for transparent, accountable handling and public monitoring of the process.
