Indonesia's Pegadaian and Pelindo report strong profit gains in H1 2026
PT Pegadaian posted an 84.59% year‑on‑year increase in net profit to Rp 6.59 trillion for the first half of 2026, driven by a 79.26% jump in operating revenue to Rp 67.26 trillion. Gold sales dominated the revenue mix, contributing Rp 48.23 trillion, while total assets rose 22.87% to Rp 186.33 trillion.
PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) recorded a 60.44% rise in net profit to Rp 2.57 trillion over the same period. Container handling grew to about 9.96 million TEUs, a 7% increase, reflecting higher cargo flow. CEO Achmad Muchtasyar attributed the profit surge to stronger revenue, disciplined cost management, and the ongoing transformation programme led by Danantara Indonesia.
Both state‑owned firms highlighted that the improved financial results are tied to broader economic activity and strategic reforms within their respective sectors.
