Indonesia's Prabowo‑Gibran administration records over 70% approval in new poll

A Poltracking Indonesia survey conducted from 11‑17 May 2026 found that 72.2% of the general public expressed satisfaction with President Prabowo Subianto and Vice‑President Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s administration, indicating strong political capital heading into the second year of their term.

Party‑specific results showed the ruling coalition’s support was also high: PDIP 64.6% satisfied, Golkar 74.5%, PKB 61.3%, Democratic Party 69.7%, PKS 52.6%, PAN 55.4% and NasDem just above the split at 50.6% satisfied versus 49.3% dissatisfied. Analysts noted that while the favorable ratings provide a solid base for policy initiatives, maintaining middle‑class purchasing power and managing price stability remain key challenges for the government.
