Indonesia's President's Cup 2026 generates Rp1.5 billion for local UMKM
The organizing committee of the President's Cup 2026 announced that sales by micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) at the pre‑season football tournament reached a total economic turnover of roughly Rp1.5 billion. The figure, disclosed by committee chair Tsamara Amany in Jakarta ahead of the final, represents a 27 percent increase over the 2025 edition.
Despite the semifinals and final being played without spectators, the event retained a presence of 25 UMKM vendors at Bali’s Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium. Earlier venues hosted up to 80 and 50 vendors respectively, but the organizers helped sustain sales by purchasing food from the remaining stalls and urging fans to watch matches together in community settings while observing safety measures. The tournament’s concluding matches for third place and the championship are scheduled for Thursday, 5 August, in Bali.
